Fall roundup

The third Saturday in October each year is a special day at Niederkoflhof. That's the day when our cows are brought home from the alpine pasture. We in Ahrntal know it as "HUAMFOUNG".

The preparation in the stable and inside the house lasts an entire week, where fritters, pot noodles, and grey cheese (Ahrntaler specialties) are being made.

With much effort and excitement, the cows will then be driven home from the pasture on Saturday. Adorned with a beautiful garland and the jeweled bell, they pull into their home stable. If you would like to witness this adventure with your own eyes, then spend fall roundup week with us.
